Studio Ris design team is proud to be the design partner for the new series of Jøtul stoves. We have been deep diving into modern living, new apartments, houses and cottages, to create a wood fired oven that fits into our modern way of living and still throws a line back to the long Jøtul design tradition.
Working with cast iron is not an everyday activity for most designers, and we just love the surfaces, the textures and the possibilities this process gives. Understanding the melting and production process, and the opportunities for shape and detailing is key for a good design process.
